Face Mask Policy

Dear Customer

As you will know, the government has introduced regulations requiring the wearing of

face coverings in shops. The department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy

has confirmed that this includes merchant trade counters.

From Friday 24 th July, face coverings must be worn when visiting our trade counter.

For customers who prefer not to wear a mask for any reason, including those with

respiratory conditions, we will offer “car park service”, fulfilling orders that are placed

in by telephone or email without the customer entering the branch, as we did during

the early weeks of the lock-down.

Our staff will not be required to wear face coverings when driving fork-lift trucks or

when they are behind the perspex screens fitted to our trade counters. They will

wear face coverings if they come into the customer side of the counter.

We appreciate your good humoured co-operation with these measures, and ask you

to continue to sanitise your hands and to maintain social distancing and other good

practices whilst in our trade counters.
